I wonder if it is worth cpu mining on a full node?  

CPU load is < 1% on mine so I might give it a go.  Maybe a few extra SPR every week or two...

Hopefully it won't impact on its node functionality....

i work at sea and wont be home for the next 2 weeks anyway, but when i get home i will start the process, besides, it will take some time to do so, so your implementation of a working service node will be done before i have finished anyway ;-p

the question is, which one would the community like us to use as base, each bring their own plusses and minuses...

cleanest, would be bitcoin or litecoin, darkcoin could be beneficial, but could also bring alot of controvercy... depends on our finished product, and what features we would bring over, from there

Can you add connections from your desktop to the vps - putty, where to get it.

When someone first starts a vps service they may not know they just have a blank machine that needs to be set-up, before they can follow your guide.

If we are aiming for 2,000 instances, that's a lot of people who will never have done any of this before - which is why I think videos work well, alongside your guide.

my own vote is also bitcoin core, cleanest implementation, and easiest to update towards if needed in the future...

alot of darkcoinDASHs functions are disabled in spreadcoin, so we do not use that many things from darkcoinDASH, so unless you want all the darkcoinDASH stuff, there is really no need to base it off of darkcoinDASH... but as i said, im putting it up to the community to decide.

Also, basing it on DASH would mean that we would have to do a hardfork (depending on features), basing it on bitcoin means we would avoid that
