cheako...I suppose you're against every other physical bitcoin maker as well....Casascius...Lealana..to name a few. Users that have shown to be trusted with minting coins with private keys.
As a collector, I would not be storing bitcoin on these, thus I don't mind if the OP has access to the keys. I just want to collect different physical crypto coins, wallets, etc. These certainly are beautiful and are well designed.
If you don't like them, fine. But that doesn't mean others don't want them.
Bitcoin is a currency if and only if certain rules are followed, physical bitcoins arn't covered by these rules. There is a scale and this clearly crosses the line. Not the line of being physical, no problem with making a physical bitcoin.
Being a physical currency, is where this product lacks any traction. It's about as trustworthy as a check from an unknown bank, but the look is vastly deceiving. It would be bad enough if the deception ended there, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Don't confuse the issue by getting hung up on petty differences like physical or imaginary, we aren't debating banknotes VS paypal. This is an advanced argument, if you can't follow the discussion you should keep quiet.
Everyone should take a good close look at the security behind these notes and realize that they should be rare if not extinct, that's what collectors want to hear.
