It is true that the entire tournament was filled with surprises,normally we used to watch one sided matches in the preliminary section or the initial days of the tournament but this time it was different,every team had their moments and we saw upset after upset on a daily basis,it was entertaining to say the least with uncertainty throughout the tournament ,if not for the couple of matches lost because of rain,the rest was entertainment .

yes that is right that they dropped two important catches for Sarfaraz which could be the turning point, but in fact the bating line of Sri Lanka also failed. specially the main bating order. if they were succeeded to cross 270 then they could really give tough time to Pakistan, but Pakistan bowling really played very well and restrict Sri Lanskan below 250.

They are in the team because on the merit of their performance and they are not having the bench strength to remove a change an established batsmen,they are having a talent pool of bowlers but they lack that kind of depth in batting,they need to nurture future talents,so that they can be replaced when a senior player retires.

The main issue with Pakistan team is consistency because they will be good in one match and immediate next match their performance will be totally opposite. Also, as you said they got good bowlers but batsman needs to build good partnerships to win the matches against strong teams. Next match is against England and it will be a really big text for this team to prove that they are a strong team or not.

The two semifinal matches are India vs Bangladesh and England vs Pakistan. Which two teams can reach to finals? Any guessing?

Don't underestimate Bangladesh guys they are very strong nowadays, and the opposite teams will make many strategies how to beat Bangladesh in eliminating matches. Because it is there prestige matter, Bangla will play with the free mind because they already achieved one thing to reach semifinals if they lost semifinal also they will not take that serious. But I am also expecting Ind and Pak in finals.

Yeah, Bangladesh is a small or weak opponent anymore, there is no way to take them lightly. they have some dangerous batsmen as well as they have a cutter master, not only that but also they have world best all rounder who has come back to his batting form. anything they can do in their day...so beware of Bangladesh cricket team.

It's going to be really super matches in semi finals. England would like to win since its their home ground and play the final against the India if they win against Bangladesh. It could also India vs Pak final and stadium would be packed as the match would be intense to watch out for .

With the new ODI I see England finally going all the way and winning, The competition is mainly India but I think they are capable of making it through this one in home ground, Regardless it will be good cricket.

What a play by sri lanka even though they lost they tried for a really good comeback. Talking about pakistan they really played pretty disappointingly losing 7 wickets for a chasing a target of 250 run. Tomorrow's match is the first semi between england and pakistan. Not going to place any bet but I'm going with england to make it to the finals.

target was not 250, it was 237. Pakistani opening batsmen played very good and give a stat of 70+ runs. i think it was good start for a team, after that the rest of the batsmen cannot proved themselves and played a very bad game. Srilankan dropped two important catches that was infact the turning point. i think they they take the wicket of Sarfaraz then it will very easy for them to win the match. but cricket is a by chance game and no one know about the result in advance.
