Bf4 will allow Bd6.
But Black would never make such a bad move. 22. Bxd6
Qxd6 (22... Rxd6 loses material to e5) 23. e5 Qd5 (the only way to save both forked pieces) and the f6 knight is forced to retreat next move.
I'm to stupid for this, I can't understand what your tying to say in the bolded. This notation stuff is new to me just from this thread.
I'm saying
Bf4 will allow Bd6
Now your saying E5 right? Then Black will Bxe5 right? Then if Nxe5 then Qxe5. So e5 would be a stupid move after Bd6 right?
He is saying
21. Bf4 Bd6
22. Bxd6 Qxd6
23. e5 Qd5
Right, that is why I'm saying Bf4 is not a good move. Although I see no reason why we would ever move Bxd6 in response to Bd6
If instead we play e5 on move 22 things are better for black
21. Bf4 Bd6
22. e5 Bxf3
23. Bxf3 Bxe5
That is also my point why Bf4 is a bad move and that he would respond with Bd6.
or
21. Bf4 Bd6
22. e5 Bxf3
23. exd6 Qb7
exd6? No then it would be
23. bxf3 Our bishop taking his bishop. We would exchange a knight for a bishop and would come out ahead on that exchange correct?
