Another question: has anyone written a smart contract and put it on the Shift blockchain? If so, what does it do and how did you get it up and running?

I found a solution by running shift which can be downloaded at https://github.com/shiftcurrency/shift-executables/tree/master/Shift-v0.3.0
Once i run it then i am able to run the shift GUI wallet and now it is downloading blockchain .

I suggest to have siftcoin wiki for new users as there is no proper user guide for shiftcoin wallet and mining etc. Also the blockexplorer does not work ? May be community bounty would be helpful pushing up this coin future.

Sorry I did follow the instruction but still no peer to download the blockchain.

This is not for solo mining since i am mining shift on suprnova. But i need my local wallet working as i do not wish to keep my coins on the pool nor exchange. It would be great someone can help to resolve the issue.
