GameCredits has launched a platform similar to Decent but with games no? It intends to take part of the Apple and Google market.
Let's see how it works and if they meet your expectations. It will be a good way to evaluate whether Decent can win big market share.
Despite being different projects, it can serve as an informal forecast.
Explain GameCredits. Because that sounds like money within a game.
I really like GameCredits, but this is not a good comparison. GameCredits is mostly just an in-game cryptocurrency; its P2P network and blockchain are not used as a platform for running or distributing game software. The games themselves are centralized.
DECENT has more "Bitcoin 2.0" features. It actually uses proof of existence to register content ownership on the blockchain, storing all kinds of information. The network can also distribute content such as e-books, music and videos. Centralized services can be layered on top of it, instead of the other way around.
Sorry, but in Gamme Credits also game developers can hang their creations and sell them. As in Decent: books, videos etc .. That's why I' ve made the simile between both. Basically because the two have big competitors in the market.

Yes, but those assets are not (yet, anyways) registered on the GameCredits blockchain. Only the tokens for which they are traded are registered on the blockchain.
I suppose you could register in-game property on the DECENT blockchain, but the network cannot currently handle the operation of the game, itself. It can, however, handle the distribution of less interactive content in a completely decentralized way.
In that regard, DECENT is less focused on the video game industry, so it's not a major competitor for GameCredits. The GAME team is focusing on on-boarding traditional video game developers, low-hanging fruit that aren't yet ready for full decentralization of all their infrastructure and business model. I think that's great, too
