100% proof that 'Humbolt' is Jim Shockney coming in a minute or three.

Before I compose what I've promised, bear in mind that if you had a business partner for tens years involved with myriad entities, would you not tell him about Bitcoin upon first stumbling upon, then getting involved in it?
According to the timeline Team Cryptsy has detailed over the years, Paul Vernon first mined bitcoins in 2011 upon discovering Bitcoin, but left (end of 2011) to only return in early 2013 to get into Litecoin because it was easy to mine even though it's been out for about two years at that point. One month later, he abandons Litecoin because the difficulty got too high. Paul creates a few altcoin pools during the interim, then Cryptsy (registered two years earlier), then brings onboard Jim Shockney and his team that BitJohn trained sans pay according to his own account. Virginia "Ginny" Bryant Shockney was supposedly Cryptsy's only paid employee prior to the 2013 run-up, she being Paul's accountant, acting as the treasurer for myriad other Vernon enterprises that she and husband Jim help administer, providing PR, support, etc.
To answer the question offered up above, you Goddamn right you would tell your business partner of tens years about any new venture you're about to embark on, ergo Jim Shockney was at Paul's side (if not on top or bottom) from the get-go when he started his Bitcoin ventures. Ginny being no longer employee at Cryptsy is pure bullshit, with her and perhaps others claiming to leave after they realized that some monumental asshole - ME - was now part of the choirs looking into Cryptsy's affairs.
Proof in a sec.
