First, James Clayton has done more for crypto awareness than most and is certainly no asshole.  Even though it was over a year and a half ago, I remember the XBC thing quite well.  James said that Busoni from Poloniex told him in the Trollbox that if you like money, buy XBC.  Certainly no one expected it to be a scam if Busoni was recommending it.  He said that in the CCC and as always, said DO YOUR OWN research.  When the Limecoin ICO came out just after XBC, a discussion about it happened in the CCC and James publicly said he sold his XBC because it seemed weird.  I wouldn't call that disappearing.  Many people lost money on that one but if you bought when James mentioned it and sold when he said he sold, you would have just about broke even.

How do people even come up with random FUD like this? I wrote about cryptos for years and traded countless different coins, and I have posted about most of them as I have been blogging about cryptos ever since I started mining and trading.

Hazard was about the only other person doing it when I started writing about cryptos, that is how long it has been. So you can imagine how many coins I have posted about by now. Please don't think writing about a coin, or posting in some thread on Bitcointalk has anything to do with creating it, it does not.
