I know Bitcoin is being used to buy illegal items such as drugs and other stuff. I think they use Bitcoin because it's what the dealers and consumers want, anonymity, untraceable, and still be transparent. I don't know any deep web stuff but I think it really is being used not just for drugs, I've seen in Mr. Robot that it is being used in other ways. (It is a good show by the way). Drugs are just going to destroy you.
Some people do feel like that's what they need to be happy though.. They might destroy you but some people profit off it and make a business out of destroying people who had a bad event happening or are in a depression. We will all have a moment like that but we don't need to give up. Ever.
Are the dealers really taking advantage of people or are they just providing a service.

I don't, i think its just like a drink or a cigarette some people just like to get high.
Take a look at big business and look at wall street, those guys move billions each day and half of them would be coked off their heads.
Bitcoin is just a new currency and it will be used to buy anything, bitcoin should have no boundaries.
