You forgot to factor the 930.96250857 BTC with early bird schedule. Take into account the 15% and 7.5% bonuses, and you will probably get that 1337

I can confirm that it is indeed just confusion. The 5% example is just that, an example. There was no arbitrary 5% limit on how much you could purchase. If a persons purchasing sum (when calculating in the earlybird period) exceeds 5% like in this instance, he will still get the proportionate amount.
