Comon guys!
This shouldnt be a problem for a community to fix.
Also you get the coins back if goal isnt reached.
I donated 0,05 ... if 9 more did the same we would be there.
Thats just NINE people needed to reach the goal.
At current prices, I currently own less than 0.05BTC of EGC, I'd need to increase my stake substantially for such a donation to make sense (but suffering a major liquidity issue due to the high BTC price and pushing into XMG to save from falling off Trex - I hedged all my bets on BTC dropping - so most of my capital is in devalued alt coins), if I gave 10% of my current EGC value to the cause the transaction fee would take ~20% of the donation and ~30% of the refund and will not make anywhere near the impact you require. IMO this investment would make much more sense to the larger bag holders - especially the group who invested heavily with Rishi2080.
The advertising cost will be 0.225% of market cap of the coin. It would be interesting to see what gain the advertising would make. Some advertisers have discounts for charities and eco products - perhaps they could offer a further discount?
I do understand the investment is large. Yes, I have been pursuing contributions on all mediums and to all community members, Rishi2080's "group" included.
To be clear, contributions do not need to be in EGC. Over 300 other coins are accepted, as are credit cards and paypal. All of which would occur over httpS, as the new website does have SSL.
Any size donation will help. Frostminer was just voicing how small each contribution needs to be if more pitch in.
If refunds are needed, I will personally compensate for fees also.
I have asked John if any further discount is possible. Though I don't know if that is financially feasible for him. That said, you are absolutely correct. I have been able to succesfully leverage the nonprofit, 'cause coin', and 'eco' friendly aspects of EverGreenCoin for discounts from vendors. Sometimes to great success. But again, I am not sure John will be able to extend the already large discount. However, I see no harm in politely asking. I will let you know his response.
