I know of no one else in my circle of real-people contacts who uses bitcoin.  None of my friends, family, or coworkers use it.  All the people I interact with who use cryptocurrency are right here on this forum.

That tells me btc has a lot of growth potential.

I remember I wanted to top up ninja saga and someone advise me to find dollars from PTC and after that I saw the ad bitcoin and feel attracted to bitcoin  

I was the first person to actually begin using Bitcoin that I know IRL. I heard of it a while ago a little more than a year before the price rise in 2013. At that time I didn't even think about GPU mining, although I probably should have. I mostly did stuff with faucets. However I did introduce Bitcoin to many of my friends. One of them actually uses Bitcoin very often for a lot of stuff. He is the only person I know IRL that actually uses Bitcoin.

I saw some senior members of emoneyspace forum talking about bitcoin in 2012 or 2011 end. They were talking about like a replacement of Paypal or Payza (then alertpay). They are the first people I did see with the awareness of bitcoin. In my friends circle I was the first one to receive a bitcoin payment.

Some of comments here made me laugh. In reality i didn't met anyone that use bitcoin, what is mkre weird from all the people just 2 or 3 heard about it somewhere. Like I already said somewhere here on forum : I found about all this accidentally, and I still wonder how I didn't saw it before.
Past is past, now I'm hooked and I'm working for my first bitcoin.

Same as me really, but I have introduced all my closest friends to them and now they're just as addicted to bitcoin as myself.

For me it was one of my room mate who was using this forum and when I enquired about what this forum is all about then he explained me about Bitcoin and how it will become the future currency.

honestly,i am the first person who using bitcoin on my college (maybe) and on my family, never seen other people using bitcoin,maybe if i go to another town or country,i will see them.

My friends started using them. They say that they buy stuff with it at a discounted price online.

That's how i started using bitcoins.

My answer will be a little funny. I was introduced to bitcoin by.... myself. I have all my experience with bitcoin related only to my activity with it. I had the first contact with it through an (totally) anonymous website which offered high profits if you collaborate with that and in which to create an account was enough to give only your email. No name, no surname, no absolutely other kind of data. You entered your email and then your account was created (showing you the username and your password). Within the site was a proposal (fantastic if reading it) and for the realization of which needed funds. They asked donations and in return gave a founder position in their future built business. They accepted only bitcoin as a donation. Here we are. I was attracted by that I have read in their website (within my account) and decided to become founder. Their give some rows about bitcoin and where it were possible to find other news and places to buy it. All the remain time from this February-March three years ago until today is a continuous increasing relation (in learning and using it) between me and this precious invention named bitcoin.
