I'm not sure how you can even compare both , it's like comparing Bitcoin to Facebook or something like that .
If we have to compare Bitcoin then we have to compare it with Payment methods or fiat for example and not with the internet , beside .. without an internet connection Bitcoin wouldn't even exist so .. I just don't get it .

Well without Internet no Bitcoin! So I wouldn't say that Bitcoin is bigger than Internet.But it is definitely bigger than email!!
Bitcoin is maybe the last missing piece of the internet.Now we are able to send monetary value around the globe instantly at any time we want without a third party.This is really huge and ground-breaking.
However there is still a lot of work to do and we never ever should underestimate the big opponents who want to keep their influence and power. R3 Blockchain consortium and Co. could become a serious threat within the next years!Just because the internet in the 90s was the clear winner doesn't mean it will happen again automaticly.These guys aren't dumb!!They are dangerous!

Like the others said, bitcoin is never bigger than the internet, because it depends on it. The internet is still bigger. Bitcoin (actually I think you mean the blockchain, though) is merely a stone in the pyramid that is internet. It may be compared to the email though. And yes, It's at least as big as the email.

Not neccesarily. A direct comparison cannot be made, but you can still compare the level on which it revolutionizes the world.

It is the same as how the car or airplane changed the world in how much closer everything has become.

At this point nothing is bigger than the internet. Even Bitcoin isn't and probably never will be. Internet is the main thing to get Bitcoin to work. Without it Bitcoin is nothing.
