Yes news about bitcoin about it being used in nefarious illegal activities. It is a negative impact on bitcoin, instead of promoting it people will say that bitcoins are criminals money. But we cannot deny the fact that before bitcoins are enjoyed by surface web users it was the primary currency used in the darknet before the price even goes up.

Without any doubt, bitcoin is used for illegal activities. There's no reason why not. Any currency can be used for illegal activities, be it dollars, euro, etc. As long as it's money, you have no idea where it came from. The penny that you're holding right now might be from a drug dealer, serial killer, etc.

In the dark net, bitcoin is widely used because of the anonymity privileges it has. They can transfer it to their bank accounts without having any trace that the bitcoin they have was acquired by doing illegal stuffs.

As I type this reply here now, They use bitcoin there for buying illegal goods and services. Well there's other places where they use bitcoin for illegal activities not just in dark net. There are many illegal activities done using bitcoin as a payment method some are just hidden so that they won't get caught.

Even with fiat all of that activities that you've mention can be accomplished.. It's not just bitcoin that can be used in any purchasing.. The use of bitcoin in illegal activities I think is normal as part of it as a growing currency.. Anyone would really take advantage of features any new thing could offer..

Depends on the jurisdiction. In theory you should need a licence, ESP if the service is being offered via platform. But with the case of some of these smart contracts, the code would be the house, and I think it would be hard to sue the code. If the code never cashes out the funds, it never realized capital gains, and subsequently has no tax liability. Now that I've typed it out, I guess you are right; essentially offering gambling without a license is illegal. But enforcement in some cases would be almost impossible. Also, while this should be highly illegal, the government is being really cavalier about this at the moment for some reason.

i dont think that it will be so. because it is not an easy job to do smuggling using bitcoin. because they can easy transfer the money in local currency and there is no restruction of money transaction. then why should the do so.

Bad people take advantage from bitcoin anonymity to do illegal transaction, that way their actions will difficult to trace.
