It will just update the app, keep in mind that every RaiWallet version is installed in a different folder. E.g. your current wallet should be installed in C:/Program Files/rai 7.8.1, the new one will be installed in C:/Program Files/rai 7.8.2.

But that's not where the real data about your wallet is saved, that's in C:/Users/YOURNAME/AppData/Local/RaiBlocks.

In any case, just backup your seed and you'll be safe!

EDIT: I retried the complete archive "RB_64bit_2017_03_11.rar" for download, and this works fine.

EDIT: Block count is now: 516008 (35). I have no VPN and fast connection to the internet, the explorer is showing 518,566 blocks currently. Waiting for catchup.

EDIT: Seems fine now: 518851 (21) in wallet, and the explorer in the internet is nearly the same. I had a try with four different Linux wallets in the past, all of them stalled. I go on with Windows temporarily.

EDIT: After importing my two different seeds, I see only very small amounts of my historical stash. Is there something like a "refresh" for this wallet?

The seed is the number you see in the config file hey ?

The sync is slow sometimes but if you just leave it running it will work eventually
