As a matter of fact, I decided to skip KYC for Polymath - I`ve found out about this only after I registered. I don`t feel comfortable sharing sensitive info with a new company, even if they do look legit. I see their banners on coinmarketcap since last week (and I know how expensive is that kind of exposure), so their project seems solid and I might regret my decision in the future, but let`s face it, we don`t even know how many tokens they will send. So it might be KYC for $2...
But it`s a good thing that you posted this, I`m sure there are many people who didn`t know that Polymath require KYC (I was one of them).
Actually, I missed whole airdrop because that spinning wheel just went on and on and could not register my eth address. Their project indeed looks solid, so I might buy poly tokens from airdrop sellers without any kyc

Haha, my thoughts exactly!

Instead of submitting my passport, I`m planning to buy some tokens on EtherDelta, as usual there will be plenty of dumpers/ weak hands as soon as the tokens will be dispatched (sounds incredible even to me, but today I bought some tokens paying only 1/3 of their ICO price!! I hope the rest of my buying order will fill

).
