@Trofo the current England squad is capable of winning the cup, but the only issue I’m having is with the England’s coach because he’s selecting underperforming player’s like Maguire and Shaw and leaving out performing player’s like Sancho. Lastly any team that underestimates England will be foolish, because they have got one of the best squad, and now all Southgate needs to do is pick the performing player’s and continue winning matches comfortably.

England has good squad but I never see them as favorites to win any tournament, WC included. They will do good but then there will be knockout stage and they will loose 1:0 or on penalties against some proper tournament team like France. England has very good players on Wing positions and attack if Kane is in good form like at the moment but I don't rate the rest of the team that high.

Why do you guys all talk about the international break like it is one of the worst things in football ever. I mean we do have summers where there are zero club games at all, how do you sustain for that long if you can't skip just one week . All in all, I wagered on some of the games, thanks to Italy lost a good chunk, thanks to Portugal regained that chunk and now I am back to gambling on the club games all over again.

I am not saying that you can't have a preference, of course you can have a preference but I do not think that having zero interest in something doesn't make it a bad thing for the rest of us. I enjoyed it, and now I will enjoy these as well.

I didn't know that sportsbet.io would end up on a merchandise for arsenal, that's cool to see. I never really got anything from the "get a physical item" rewards so far, but since I am around and sometimes participate, I am sure that eventually I will get something.

I really would love to get one, even considered buying one but between how the rate of Pounds is compared to my fiat, plus nearly as much for shipping as much because I live very far away, it became like 120 pounds total and we make like 250 pounds monthly here . So, that didn't make any sense at all, not for a jersey. Only way would be to earn something and so far even though I LOVED the arsenal hoodie, I still would prefer a Southampton regular jersey for sure.

@MinMan then keep an eye out for the regular promos, there's practically one every few days. Them Arsenal wear especially are going to be collector items. A correct score bet on them against Palace tickles my fancy. 3-1?

@dezoel To each his own, of course I was slightly exaggerating how much I hate internationals but a question does crop up every now and then on why Europe doesn't just do a proper football calendar like the rest of the world (then one big break in between seasons for all internationals). I know it's not as simple as that (seasons play a part I guess, e.g. Africa not nice to play in the hottest months) but part of the problem is how the seasons don't sync. The Americas, Asia, all play a full season in a calendar year (Africa follows Europe I think for the most, but they start really late anyway might as well push it to start the next year).

Anyway, I'll take international over no football any day.

I have to say that is a wonderful idea, alternatives are definitely better than what we have right now. Like for example a big break during winter for the qualifiers could be a great deal, we already have few breaks her and there, which means that it shouldn't really change the way leagues take, it could still be late august or early September to late may for all the leagues with one month or even 2 weeks off during January for example.

Weather could be a problem in that case but I am sure that stadiums are good enough with heating under the pitch that it shouldn't be a big problem for that long, or at least that game could be postponed and would be just one game. It is a wonderful idea.

City at home against tougher opponent compared to Liverpool away against easier opponent, I am thinking both teams will be about equally tired for the derby in PL. But that should not make much difference in the end, no matter how tired both teams are they will give their everything in that one game. I don't know what comes next for them but if it is some cup game maybe we could have some surprises then.

Pity about Arsenal. Killed me on my USDT long acca. Watched the first half and they were pretty okay without being really threatening but Palace were menacing with results. Could have been because Martinelli wasn't playing, Zaha at his physical, pacey, jinking best.

@LFC_Bitcoin, Trofo. Odds to me a pretty good value for Liverpool at home, pays much better than any of our recent games (almost 15/10). Benfica are no pushovers but we usually like playing Portuguese teams who, to their credit, don't change much even when facing supposedly attacking teams -- case in point Ajax. Very narrow, counter-loving, almost like an Atletico but with more class IMO. It won't be an open Porto 4-3-3 team in case we've gotten so used to that!

I've committed all of my remaining season bankroll to tonight/weekend games -- including on Atletico (10/1). So I either end Sunday with nothing left or with a lot more than I started. City do have the depth, but this is going to be their toughest 2 weeks so I'm really hoping for fireworks! They play us both times home, so bookies rightly have them as favourites both games -- but underdog tag against the big boys always suits us!

Champions League is back tonight and my main pick is Liverpool to win against Benfica, and to increase the odds I think they will win the first half.
Liverpool need to finish the job early in first match so they can focus more on domestic competitions in FA Cup and Premier League against direct rival Manchester City.
Same what I said for Liverpool goes for Man City who plays against Atletico Madrid tonight, but I think it's going to much harder match than odds suggest.
Atletico Madrid is fully focused on Champions League because they don't have chance to win title in Primera.
