Steemit has become increasingly unstable since the hive fork. Today we are greeted with a internal server error.

Also the @steemit (owned by Justin Sun) account on the steem blockchain is actively downvoting any hive related posts.

Is Steem basically dying off at this point? I've been shocked at the level of disengagement off of the platform but also Hive. I'm going to spend some time on these platforms but my hopefulness for a decentralized Reddit of sorts seems to be waning fast unless anyone can convince me otherwise.

Cleared up some of the confusion. As an active former Steemit user, I can say that Steemit is in fact largely dead and the activity does in fact seem to be on Hive. That said, Hive seems to be extremely slow and buggy.
