One suggestion: consider making slides from a series of transactions that you have done yourself: getting a wallet, buying BTC, spending BTC.

Another: showing some screen shots from blockchain.info and/or other easy to understand [sic] sites.

Also, some general website links (bitcoin.com, I think they have a beginner's video) that internet users in your audience can access easily.

You can tell them that once they have a marginal understanding to come here to bitcointalk as well.

Finally, wait for more suggestions here to roll in!  

work out what the company you are talking to does. not only to know what to highlight. but also HOW to highlight it.
EG how:

if the company is "technical" (EG a IT firm). then the importance of the technicals of how bitcoin works should mention such things as sha256, ECDSA, private public keys, distributed/independent network nodes.

if the company is "financial" (EG a bank). then the importance of the technicals of how bitcoin works should mention such things as cryptography used to secure users ability to sign transactions and cryptography to create the blocks, then distributed over thousands of different users computers to be independently verified. to ensure that no one but the owner of the funds can move the funds. and no one single person can manipulate the data(i hope you notice the word differences between talking to an IT or financial firm)

if the company is "retailer" (EG starbucks). then the importance of the technicals of how bitcoin works should mention the speed of seeing a zero confirm. vs the average speed of a 1 confirm. and why in most cases the small value customer spends could get away with not waiting for one confirm. along with explaining how once its confirms, those funds are not just 'authorized' but actually settled and cleared to be spent by the retailer, unlike banks sometimes taking days..


EG what:
if the company is "technical" then talking about how each block started as 50btc, and every 210000 blocks it halves and to make sure no one over produces too quickly every 2016 blocks the difficulty increases..

if the company is "financial" then talk about the 21mill cap and how we are already over 15mill of that cap

if the company is "retailer" then demonstrating a transaction live by having a QR code ready and blockexplorer/blockchain.info ready to show the funds move. even asking one of the company to download a wallet app and display their own qr code and you send them $1.50cents as a gift to them for demonstration purposes.


in short.. know who you are talking to and know what level of understanding they want, require and will use

I recommend you going to en.bitcoin.it to find out some information on bitcoin. It pretty much covers all you need to know. The wikipedia article of bitcoin you might also find helpful.

You can also search up some explanatory videos on Youtube, they are often very easy to understand.

you can go to bitcoin.org and its will better for you to get any information from official sites,and also its good for you to explain about bitcoin your company,i wish you have no problem with your company after that,because i ever interview with bank manager and i asked about bitcoin,i explain about bitcoin,and i'm stuck when asked about bitcoin legality and regulation.

Thanks for all the advice! I'm going to go through the links and see what I can add. The company is very technical since someone asked, and I know more than surface info on bitcoin, but not an expert any any particular aspect.
