Bitcoin is currency and it is legal if earned legally

It is the same thing if you put the money that you earned from your job + things that you sold + things that you stole in the same bank account!
So basically, money from your job is halal and the other part that you stole are haram... So simple... just consider bitcoin as a currency

If you made something haram to get them then they are haram otherwise, they are halal. In other words, if you are getting them from faucets Mining or giveaways then It's halal but from Gambling it's Haram.
Now you should know how much you deposited into the wallet and from where exactly . I'm pretty sure the bitcoin addresses of gambling websites are known so It shouldn't be a problem to know where you (gambling website) received them once that's done you should get rid of them. (give them away to someone (making sure they will not return to you in any way) or to a charity or something).

Say, what's your religion (I assume it's Muslim) view on internet and money?  That's the closest answer you can get unless you get a new "Law" which states otherwise.

Also, I would argue that this principle shouldn't apply to something that can be used as a tool for both good and bad.

Halal and haram bitcoin depends on us as users. how we respond. back to yourself. want to look at halal or haram a bitcoin.

as long as you personally dont buy a lottery ticket and instead you buy a bottle of water. then morally it does not matter that the corner shop gave you a $5-$9 as change, which might have been from a previous customer who bought a lottery ticket.
because your use of the money was for water..

as long as you personally do not gamble you will not recieve funds from gambling..

It would be no different than any other currency, only the source of the income would dictate if the funds were unclean or not. Also, possibly the motivation behind how the funds will be spent, that is, if you use charity money to buy crack, I'm pretty sure the funds would no longer be considered halal.

It's neither. Keep aside your religious belief and have fun earning bitcoin. I am sure your religion never said that earning money is unlawful.
