Do I understand it correctly:
I have 1000 NXT and on NXT client. I will recieve 500 Ignis coins just my having money on my account?
After that I can use my existing 1000nxt to buy another 2500 ignis, if I would like, in the first round.
Since I only have 1000nxt, the probability of getting a chance at forging is rediculous.
And I have a question in mind, what is the future like for NXT?
Would I be better of keeping my nxt or get out & into ignis?

NXT snapshot for Ignis will happen only after ICO is finished. So, if you will not participate in Ignis ICO, yes, you'll get 500 Ignis and will still have your 1000 NXT. By participating in ICO, you spend your NXT for buying JLRDA MS currency, which with Ardor genesis block will be converted to Ignis token on 1:1 ratio. You decide by yourself, what is better for you. Nxt will be supported from 1 year to indefinitely, depending on ICO results.
