    Well, I am feeling pretty much excited about halving and it's affections on bitcoin and bitcoin's price..
    every one(Including me) was expecting an huge price Increase after halving and still hoping for that. and now finally the time come out.
    let's see what will happen., I am also have some coins in my wallet. and I preferred my self for loose also(which is possible)

    Halving is definitely a big event in bitcoin history. The reduction of new bitcoins generated when a block is mined, the decreasing in bitcoin supply. If you are miners then you should worry about the decreasing bitcoin reward for each block, the profitability, and much more. For most of us not miners, we just worry three things, the price of bitcoin, the speed of comfirming a transaction(Hashrate) and the new supply of bitcoins in circulation. The bitcoin price is still volatile amidst the halving and maybe could rise sharply or decrease. No one knows what will happen but there is not much of changing at the 2012 halving, maybe rise? Maybe stagnant? Maybe decrease?
    For the speed of transaction, the halving may cause some small mining companies the lose their revenue and shut down their hashrate. Currently 1.5 exahashes of hashrate, it will certainly decrease with the event of halving and the other miners struggle to survive the decrement of new supply of bitcoin. In the other hand most of us will trade much and it may lead to overflowing of bitcoin transaction and confirming time  increases should they shut down their mining rigs.
    The time for bitcoin halving is 2 hours away as we speak so good luck and hope the bitcoin price increases for the best for us users and miners....

    A few months ago I thought halving will bring price increase, but I think that already happend.
    Then I thought, price will drop the nearer halving comes. Obviously it does not do that.
    Now I'm pretty confident that today nothing big is going to happen.
    Maybe in a few days we will see fluctuatuins.
      It's me!!!

    No reason to crash down to 200 again because of the halving. All the halving will do is increase prices. Bitcoin will never reach 200 again, I doubt it will even reach 400 again.

    I was just expected whats happening now.Some people was in dream they think bitcoin will skyrocket at halving day.I sold all my coin rate at $750
    more people said to me don't sell your coin rate will $5000 at halving day but I could find the reason why bitcoin price will be raised.Now am very happy to see my expected price.

    What can I say? I can say business as usual. Price goes up, price goes down, price goes up, price goes down. Same old, same old.

    As others have said, we will not see the effects of halving until weeks later from the actual halving. Similar to how it was last halving.

    Check back with me in a few weeks to months, I'll prolly have the same thing to say.

    Happy halving day Folks!

    Bitcoin has been growing steadily and has introduced a completely new concept into the world. With Bitcoin people are now able to fully control their own money  by becoming their own Bank. Bitcoin introduced a whole new technology enabling smart contracts and much more. Besides, it is a viable alternative to the current financial system.
     bitcoin is now mainstream and I still see it as the best possible investment to put my money in!

    It's never a good idea to have such high expectations from the block halving. Block halving is just the rewards being lowered 50%. The price was well below $400 for quite some time, and if you take that into consideration, then you can only be happy with the current price as it nearly doubled in value at current level. In that aspect 50% lower rewards have been compensated with a nearly 100% price increase.

    I have put my expectations for the Halving at a very low end of the excitement scale, because I had a feeling that I would just be disappointed by the actual result. So far I am seeing what I predicted,

    which is a price at $650 to $700.... I even think that it will go way below that, before it will pick up again and blow our minds, with record highs. The Halving will take a couple of weeks to filter through

    the network... at this stage a lot of people are dumping, and this will push the price down.  Roll Eyes

    it's a little bit different from my expectation. so I'm a little bit dissappointed either. I didn't hope the price will dump so high, but the price before halving is higher than now, but lucky me I have sold some bitcoin when the price is higher than now  Grin

    It is the first halving to happen since I knew bitcoin so I am waiting to see the impact because it it a new experience for me. The impact will not be seen in a day or a week but in the next few month IMO

    I was totally convinced that the halving would not affect immediately the bitcoin price because of the increased stability of this coin. Markets always price in any relevant event with sufficient anticipation, this is a golden rule in markets so no one  should be disappointed by this non-event day.

    I think that a good number of us have thought that when the halving will happen the price will increase immediately but we can see it didn't happened, the halving effect will be seen probably at the end of this year or next year.

    Glad to know that the halving didn't cause too much drastic changes. I think we are doing very well. Just like the last reward halving, the real exciting time happens after... So sit tight and the show has JUST started.
