We need a similar App or Game like Pokémon GO, where people go out there and pick up bitcoin. How difficult can it be to fund something like this and have people looking for bitcoins or heaps of

Satoshi's? This new phenomenon called, Pokémon GO has taken off like a rocket, and people are joining in their millions to search for virtual items. Imagine you are a coffee shop owner and you just

launched your first Bitcoin payment option for your shop. You sponsor 1 x bitcoin towards the launch and login to a site that distributes these Satoshi's for you. Each group of Satoshi's {valued at +/-

the cost of 1 cup of coffee} are then being generated in and around your shop. People will be drawn to your area and they will have money to spend on 1 cup of coffee, if they find it. Multiply that with

all the merchants in the area and you will have a frenzy of Bitcoin hunters in your area. Foot traffic = Sales and this will generate that traffic in your area. Wink

I totally agree. I have not downloaded the game yet, but I know it brings people together in real world locations. Why not have bitcoin trading at "poke spots". or a parallel app that allows buying of stuff you need in the game? Maybe stuff like information, powerups,... I don't play so you tell me. lol

This is actually a great idea but I think it needs the support of local businesses since it circles around locality, so people need to be willing
To invest. btw the map which you go and find things is it in google map like real world map right?

The project would be great, but i believe this need some merchants deals, and huge exchanges take the first spet, promoting bitcoin, can be a coffee or a candy.To this work as pokemon people must force the searcher to spend the coins,maybe some wallet controled by the company who will make the system. The worse is i believe the current community would go streets to find those satoshis.

While I agree that the idea is great(I've seen some discussion in the "Projects" section already around this sort of thing) and would get a lot of people interested in Bitcoin, at the same time I think "need" is too strong a term. Bitcoin doesn't "need" a minigame to get new people in, just as Paypal or Apple Pay didn't "need" a game or any other sort of gimmick to attract new users. Of course those are slightly different ideas to BTC, but the point still stands that the core ideals of bitcoin are attractive, we have a strong cohort of available services and infrastructure surrounding it already, with only more to come in the future as it gains traction. This sort of a game sounds like a great idea nevertheless though

That's interesting idea, but like pokemon they can became a killer apk at first the pokemon is still alive for a long time ago, with a lot of serial in the television and various form of pokemon game, and all of that's already merge in our community. but different with bticoin maybe it's will take a more time to merge in our community. First of all, who do you think would fund this project? No one would just throw their money off unless they have so much money that throwing away millions wouldn't have any major effect to them financially.

Pokemon Go took a lot of years before they have completed the whole thing, you can't just copy+paste the whole idea of the application. Also, money is involved in this thing, people would just keep on looking for glitches on bugs in this thing when/if this "application" is launched.

This "application" would also be needing GPS and there's an application called Fake GPS, good luck solving that glitch.

I think this is a excellent idea, because I was part of a 4 x 4 outdoor adventure group, where we used to hide tokens with clues and GPS coordinates and people drove around looking for these treasures. The rewards was sponsored by Outdoor merchants and also vouchers from restaurants and food outlets. These games took us all over the place, and we eat at places we would have never visited, if it were not for this game. I can see many shops already in my area, that would go for this. In most of these instances, the reward might be a free pizza, but then you get there and you eat the free pizza and you spend money on the drinks.

This in good Idea , we will be requiring app like choosing some some Coupons on the locations and convert that to bonus in bitcoins to the Wallet on the app. or Collecting some toys etc and hand it over to some place , get the bonus for that in bitcoin

I think the comparison is not fair as Pokemon exists since the 1980s and therefore is known to 2-3 generations already.
That's why it wasn't that difficult to come up again with such a success for Nintendo.
Bitcoin still is in it's infancy, believe it or not! Furthermore to me Bitcoin itself is the killer app. Programmable money, without any permision for participation, open for any idea which could be build on top of it...what do you want more.
We need to have patience.Another 8-10 years and you will be a happy person.

In max 10 years, having 1 BTC will be possible only for the rich. We'll probably see 1k satoshis = $1. However, a big scare like a power outage worldwide for just a few seconds would bring BTC down to <$100. Bitcoin has potential to become a big, big thing in years but we need to talk about it everywhere we go, e.g. ask if we can pay with BTC at every restaurant or cafe or shop we can so more people can find about it. The more popular and hard to get it is, the bigger price it'll get.
