I think it is impossible, the predictions that call bitcoin will be replaced just like the usual issues, But also i will say that bitcoin has competition with all other crypto currencies.

lets just say that altcoins are not actually the competitions but are children of bitcoin, maybe there will come a time that the bitcoin itself will be the main access to its monetary value but altcoin will be the way to acquire bitcoin. Today, ofcourse altcoin compete with bitcoin but i think there is a possibility that this will happen some time in the future.

BTC was the first crypto currency to successfully enter the market.  I don't think that bitcoin will ever leave the market.  Here are other new currencies that will disappear, because no one will get such effect as bitcoin. It still be King of coin

I think the altcoins was same as bitcoin, we didn't call altcoins competitors of bitcoin we call bitcoins and altcoins a source of money to our financial. But I think people choosing which is better for their self.
