Why would that be wise? It would mean that there is no place you can talk about the loan if he defaults. The only time a loan thread needs to be locked is if the borrower didn't get his/her loan accepted.

There's this thing called pming the user that defaulted on the loan. It's actually pretty obvious. Failing that, you can make a scam accusation against the defaulter in the scam accusation board.

I agree with this but josephdd1 was only giving a suggestion to the OP. Its upto OP to lock this thread or not though. Well normally whoever wants money always locks the thread in order to protect the thread from spamming and trolls. Like in this case thread was opened and you can see a troll post.

I agree that a thread should be opened to discuss about the open loan but there are many users who may go off-topic.So IMO scam accusation is the best in case if some one runs away defaulting a loan.
