The airdrop of zilla seems to be an early christmas bonus for us komodo hodlers. It is just like being given free assets. Come to think of with just around 11 million tokens supply , zilla will be valuable as time goes by and the projects potentially it will maintain.

For sure because they can't know which wallet is behind an address. The problem is how to claim it if your KMD are on the ledger. Until Agama has no direct Ledger Support your only chance is to expose the private key from the Ledger (be careful, it's very unsecure, do this offline with an Ubuntu Live or similar) to have access to these zilla via Agama.
In my opinion it's MUCH easier to send your KMD to Agama wallet a few hours/days before the snapshot and after that send them back to the Ledger, but it's up to you.

Why do you think the airdrop is on early christmas?  The reddit post clearly states that snapshot is on 15th August and distribution is on 30th August.

That is correct, the discord invite is optional. I added it in the beginning so that most people are in our discord in order to get wallet and news updates. Users that hold 500 or more KMD will be included in the snapshot. The 1million ZILLA will be distributed among those addresses based on the amounts held in them. Hence, if you have 1000 KMD, there is NO need to split them into 2 batches of 500 KMD. If we divide 104,000,000 KMD into 1,000,000 ZILLA you get 0.00961. Multiply that by 500 and you get 4.8. So users should expect 4.8 ZILLA per 500 KMD as a minimum.

Glad we don't have to split into 500 chunks.
