Guys, I'm thinking of hooking my old pc up for some mining, but I don't have a spare screen, nor do I have actually room on my desk to place one. So I was thinking of software to remote control your desktop, and I am wondering if any of you have experience with that regarding mining. If so, how did it work out?
Also, can I apply an over/underclock during mining, or should I halt the miner first?
You can apply over/underclock during mining.
You would likely need to use a monitor to get everything running, but for management you can use something like TightVNC and connect into your computer. It might be a little slow trying to move your mouse around and control things, but as long as the computer hasn't crashed it'll work just fine.

I use Team Veiwer to remote control 3 of my rigs with no monitor. I made dummy plugs for them.
Of course I had to hook them up to the monitor to get everything installed but after that it works fine. I can remote control them from my phone or tablet or my main rig when I am at home since they are spread out over the house.
Thanks guys. Now I just need to find an Ethernet cable long enough to connect the rig to the network,
