Hahaha so you are saying that such people exist only in the Bitcoin community, these people were and always will be there with or without Bitcoin. This people just want to make quick money and will go any length to achieve it. And before you blame them, point a finger at yourself what made you fall for this scams, it's greed. We humans are wired to go for a quick profit. No I beg to differ the community is not at all posined, look around every one tries his best to help avoid people from falling for scams, so much information is given, but there no mechanism op and how can even one create such one. Look at hacking can it be stopped no right, I would say just don't loose faith yet.

False. Scammers are pretty much free roaming on this forum, by using throwaway accounts or until someone finds a connection to their original account with which they've scammed with.

IMO true criminals, i.e. those with a very strong criminal intent do not care at all about the victims background.

False. Bitcoin is not anonymous. Bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous at best and has a limited anonymity pool per day.

The bitcoin user base is more than what is on this forum without a doubt and i know people who are very much active in trading and gambling but not interested or never had an account in this forum ,so it is quite obvious that people come here to scam and spam and you can only be scammed if you let them,ICO scams are the worst as they run away with millions and no law would catch them,we need some changes regarding these and glad that some users here are spending time to find scammers.

As franky1 said, these also exist with fiat money. This is even worst because with fait money you can in theory track who it is, but the authorities do not even take time to do it...

I have wondered this myself.  When I first got into Bitcoin in early 2015 I was apprehensive because there was much talk about hacking, stealing, exchange funny business, etc. I am not sure why it attracts idiot thieves.  The concept of this technology is far too cool for all of these scamming idiots.  There are plenty of thieves within all of the current national currencies now and have always been but bitcoin thieves tend to be the norm.

You have forgotten to add the ass-lickers and the certified psychopaths. Bitcoin seems to attract all kinds of people with mental illnesses. Stay alert 

if that was the real reason they might as well change their coin and go with monero and zcash which are both more anonymous than bitcoin

the point here is that there are more chance to scam a bitcoiners online than anything else, because there are high amount of newbie entering in the bitcoin world

Well these are ongoing because the blockchain technology is still under intensive scrutiny and review and hasn't been approved or certified to be 100% risk free but at the moment there hasn't been any Serious deficiencies but care must be taken though so that you wouldn't risk your funds. As for the hackers and theives et'al I think their days are numbered as when Blockchain technology is advanced full scale as the backbone of Bitcoin it will take care of them and there will be no more thievery.
