The legislature passes bills, the president signs them into law (although he can be overridden). And generally he should unless there is overriding cause not to because it is the legislature's job to determine law, the president is (supposedly) head of the executive branch. This was a big bill. If you want to say that bills should be smaller and simpler and focus on fewer issues, I can certainly agree with that.

Is trump too old? He's certainly getting up there. He'd be coming to the end of his second term now if it wasn't for shens. I'm not here to try to get you to love or even like Trump but I *do* understand how we got here.

Though all that's up for discussion. But if you think Liz Cheney is in any way viable, you're delusional. She lost her primary 66.3% to 28.9% and that's just Republicans.

As an aside, I'd just like to say that AI is awful. While researching into this stuff, the search engine was giving me its AI attempts at answers and it was egregiously wrong several times (including, at one point, saying that the law in question did not affect the 1301 stuff at all). Potentially quite dangerous.

Also, journalists are fucking awful. Discussing the consequences of a law without citing the law should be subject to being strung up by your toenails.

In addition, having read some of the bill, politicians are awful as well. And fuck the lawyers and lobbyists responsible too.
