Masternodes sounds good to me. As far as I know they add an extra security and stability to the network and also the total amount of coins circulating arround will be lower, because you can't move/trade them arround, this means more value to the remaining coins. About cons, I don't see nothing bad, maybe that others will know which address is holding X amount of coins.

I think the only way to get nobt biw is by mining. The gao between buy and sell on the exchange is far to large.

What have to do Zerocoin Protocol with masternodes? Zerocoin is for privacy, masternodes are for security and stability. PIVX for exemple have both implemented.
