If you want stable investment guarantees, then it's better to choose gold. But at the moment, bitcoin is more profitable.
This is a sensible take, and it's why it makes sense to diversify one's portfolio into both (among other things). I think that Bitcoin may very well be superior to gold; it's portable, divisible, easily transmittable. It's much more liquid than gold in terms of decentralized trade. In time, it could certainly compete with gold in terms of store of value. But as you point out, this is all very speculative for now.
