NGC and PCGS will both grade and authentic such a coin. Outside of that, you would need quite a bit of experience with that series of coins to properly determine authenticity.
That said, in my opinion, the coin in the OP has spent a good deal of time submerged in salt water.
I do understand how to find out what coin it's supposed to be, my question is more specific - let me clarify.
Will any coin dealer be able to verify if this coin is authentic or a replica? My local coin dealer can definitely authenticate US or popular world coins, but I'm wondering if a specialist would be required for this type of coin.
