Yesterday, we attended the conference "Towards the Digital Transformation of Companies with Advanced Digital Technologies" at the Ljubljana Technology Park. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology with the aim of presenting the current public tender for the digital transformation of the economy and examples of good practices of integrating advanced digital technologies into business models by different industry.
We are happy and honored to be able to present the BETAi (Blockchain and energy trading with artificial intelligence) project in the field of Energy Efficiency, with which we provided Dom Lenart with additional energy devices (solar power plant, heat pumps, and storage) and connected everything to smart P2P trading system on the SunContract energy marketplace, which takes care of the efficient redeployment of all involved energy devices and data collection using artificial intelligence.
In addition to the presentation of our project, the event was also an opportunity to find new partners for future development projects.

Regular meeting of all employees was marked by the 20th anniversary of SONCE energija, exclusive partner of SunContract in Slovenia. On 18 April, it will be 20 years since the company was founded, which from the very beginning believed in the future of renewable sources and the use of clean, environmentally friendly energy.
In all this years, several milestones in this area were set:
✅ they built the first major solar power plant for commercial purposes in Slovenia.
✅ they participated in the launch of SunContract - first, and so far only, energy marketplace.
✅ they connected the first 100% self-sufficient community to the network in accordance with the new Act on the Promotion of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Slovenia.

In Portoro, SONCE energija, an exclusive partner of SunContract in Slovenia, has just received one of the most beautiful gifts they could wish for their anniversary. 😊
This year SONCE energija received the energy award for the best promotional project of URE OVE. Their 100% self-sufficient community in Slovenia, the village of Zavrate. This time they managed to convince the readers with their big breakthrough in the photovoltaic market in Slovenia.
The Energy awards have been given out by the newspaper Finance for many years now. Gregor Novak, Head of Development and Innovation at SONCE energija, received the award at a gala event at the Bernardin Hotel in Portoro.

SONCE energija, an exclusive partner of SunContract in Slovenia, installed a solar power plant for the high-tech factory of industrial robots Yaskawa in Kočevje.
A 700 kW solar power plant is located on the roof of the company building. It is going to produce around 760 MWh of electricity annually. With electricity, the company will provide about 50 to 60 % of clean energy for production in Kočevje as well as for the unit in Ribnica. Namely, they can easily transfer electricity from the location in Kočevje to the dislocated unit through individual agreements at the SunContract marketplace. On the sunniest days, the company will produce additional surpluses. They could be also transferred to other measuring points at SunContract energy marketplace.

The SunContract electricity marketplace is distinguished by many functionalities. These include the possibility of concluding individual agreements, through which transactions are concluded between producers and customers who already know each other. In this case, the manufacturer forwards the purchase offer to a specific, known customer via the platform. Simply by entering his e-mail address and the price of electricity in the "Individual agreements" section.
Through individual agreements, producers can sell their electricity, at their own price, directly to other customers, which are not in the same location as the power plant. This can also be another business unit or a household or the place of consumption of relatives or acquaintances.
The same can be done by customers, if they already know the electricity producer, through an individual agreement, by sending an offer for an individual purchase agreement at a price that would apply exclusively to them.

The data on the growth of photovoltaics in Slovenia for 2021:

almost 6,000 new solar power plants with a total capacity of around 95 MW, which is about 35 % more than in 2020,
a total of almost 18,000 solar power plants,
more than 300-GWh of electricity were produced from solar power plants,
2.4 % was the share of electricity from photovoltaics.

These are just some of the outstanding numbers that are not yet final. We are happy that together with our exclusive partner SONCE energija we have contributed a large part towards this result ourselves.🌞
