Payment is unconfirmed after an hour...

I sent a payment an hour ago and the status is still 0/unconfirmed. Should I be worried? Can anything be done to cancel the payment?

It will get confirmed. It just sometimes takes some time. There is no way to cancel it. If in the future you want to get the payment confirmed faster, send a transaction fee, and the miners will give it priority.

this page
.
If it appears on there, then the only thing you can do is wait till it gets included in a block.

There has been an unusual shortage of blocks created recently. It happens every now and then as their creation is random. You'll just need to give it more time.

My first Bitcoin sent to my other box took four hours. I did not pay a fee. I was worried at first too. Trust me, it'll arrive :-)
