I'm thinking the idea behind it (at least for me) would be that you can connect a mIRC client to multiple servers. So if you are already an IRC chatter you can have one window open for the rooms you usually visit, plus the new ones.

The top tier was just added recently. It was 801+ (at the still 0.15).
