Munger's response is really not surprising at all. Berkshire is about the last firm I would expect to get behind bitcoin. Gates comment is very intersting. Technology tour de force. He obviously has significant respect for the protocol, I'd be surprised if he doesn't own a few after that comment (a few for Gates could be very different than a few for the rest of us).
