I think hype can only be good for the crypto ecosystem as a whole as for bitcoin specifically perhaps its slightly more at risk of being overturned from more bleeding edge tech like ethereum or whatever the next greatest thing will be developed under all this hype, but i think because part of the hype around bitcoin is its stability and reliability against the dollar and people are security conscious about storing their value in crypto which makes bitcoins brand/track record particularly attractive when jumping onto the hype wave of crypto,
