No, you can pay using Ethereum, however, it will most likely be significantly cheaper to buy via Minereum.  I'm locked and loaded on both projects and will continue to hold around 500 MNE but spend my other 1k MNE in this ICO as the 100x rate on the first day of the ICO is absolutely absurd
