What is Semux

Semux is an experimental high-performance blockchain platform that powers decentralized application. It's written purely in Java and powered by Semux BFT consensus algorithm.

Wallet

You can download the Semux wallet from https://github.com/semuxproject/semux. Windows, Linux and MacOS are supported.

NOTE: This project is still under active development and testing. You're advised to check the release page at a regular basis.


Public Test

1. The purpose of public test is to further verify the semux software and clear potential bugs;

2. To encourage participation, validators are rewarded 1 SEM per block;

3. All coins you minted/received during the test will be transferred to our main test 1:1 when we officially launch, which is expected in early 2018;

4. After the test, the chain data will be dropped and all balances (plus delegate registration refund) shall be carried over;

5. Please check our official ANN page and discord channel at a regular basis for updates.

Rules;
1. The distribution cap is 2,000,000 SEM;
2. We’ve taken a snapshot of the bitcoin chain at block #480,000. You need to have at least 0.05 BTC balance to be eligible for this event. Your can check your balance at https://www.semux.org/btc/ ;
3. You need to sign your Semux address with your Bitcoin wallet and submit the signature to https://goo.gl/forms/tXh3Gd8Z6LddBw6H2;
4. The ratio is 1 BTC = 20 SEM;
5. You will receive 20 SEM if you have less than 1 BTC; You will receive at most 1000 SEM per BTC address;
6. Processed every Sunday afternoon. The deadline is Feb 25, 2018.

2. All BitcoinTalk users registered before Jan 7, 2018 are eligible to participate in this event;
3. The rewards will be proportionally distributed to participants based on the following point system:

• Newbie: 0.2
• Junior member: 1
• Member: 1.5
• Full member: 2
• Sr. member: 2.5
• Hero/Legendary:  3

6. You need to have at least 10 posts per week, anywhere in the forum;
4. Participants list will be updated every Sunday afternoon, and the posts counter will reset at the same time;

For example, if we have 400 (newbie) + 300 (junior) + 200 (member) + 100 (full) + 20 (senior) + 10 (hero) participants in the first week, then
Total points = 400 * 0.2 + 300 * 1 + 200 * 1.5 + 100 * 2 + 20 * 2.5 + 10 * 3 = 960 points;
Total rewards = 300000 3 months 4 weeks = 25000 SEM;
Each point = 25000 960 = 26 SEM;
