I know a guy who invested in Electroneum, and he's somehow making a profit out of it in the past few months (I think he invested October last year). I say it's not a scam. It may look sketchy, but if someone's making a profit out of it through investing and mining, then it should be good.

no it is not a scam . actually I am a holder of few thousand units of this token and waiting for it to raised the price upto 1$ or les hehe.

how can you justify it as a legit crypto when its ico raised $40 mil to develop a technology that was already developed?
there is not 1 single thing ETN did that was new except ripping off opensource tech and changing its name

to me this is the definition of scam
someone made $40 mil and gave you a pile of poo

and sending out friendly emails encouraging you they are not scamming you is by no means proof of anything other than that they want you to believe they are not scamming you while ultimately delivering nothing
this is a trait 100% of scams share

the only way this is at all wrong is if ETN releases some kind of long awaited platform that actually does any of the things ETN promised it would do. and even then it would fall short cause it would be in the form of a distribution app and not a mining one which is what their claim was in the first place. so even then its a bit of truth built on a lie
sorry but i cant see how this can ever be conceived as real by someone who is not emotionally and financially invested in this .. it is such a far cry from what it was promised to be

I hold some, so I 'win' if it all takes off, but I do think it's a poorly-managed and executed shambles and all social media posts have been drumming up hype rather than technical explanations. The perma-airdrop is not 'brilliant', I don't think handing stuff out for doing next to nothing (running an app on a smartphone) is going to add value - it will bring users but what value is there if everyone has something. Do you think any Ferrari would be as desirable if it was as common as a Ford Focus?

Well they say "Dont judge a book by it's cover maybe they were just busy doing things like fixing some few bugs. I personally taught that electroneum was a scam when i didn't get the free 5000 ETN but i guess it was a propaganda cause i only got that information in facebook.   ETN is popular in fb especially with indians, arabs and Filipinos. I guess that motivated the founder to continue the ICO. Who knows this ico might succeed or not.
