I don't think anybody or anything can destroy bitcoin at present time. Without One thing. That's shutting down of Internet.  I don't think it's possible.

From all the possible scenarios only one is believable and it is all of the government of each country decides Bitcoin as a global threat and decide to ban it worldwide where they have the power to do so within the reach of the internet from banning all wallets to blocking ip addresses it is all possible to be done by the government. But it all depends if people in the future will really abuse the anonymity of Bitcoin that it can affect the economy of a country or the prominent use of Bitcoin to enriching criminals.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. It works in online. As it is a online coin, hackers can attack this system. If there are some security problem of this system, the hackers can attack the system. Now a days the hackers can do any harm if the security is weak. They can destroy the whole system also. Bitcoin can also be harmed by the banks. They can pressure the authority to shut the system down as they are in loss for bitcoin.

if all governments were to block it, all the exchanges would be blocked, all banks making cash transfers to exchange, bitcoin outlawing and making a sanatoria with the aim of stealing bitcoin holders, with secret services persecuting bitcoins, etc... If they really wanted to, they could do it: but they are corrupt men and so they will almost never do it. But in theory they could.
