I've used Coinbase for years. I have had one issue. The issue was more of a misunderstanding than anything else. When I announced I had an issue Coinbase froze my account for nearly 48 hours. They were able to quickly restore my account and they were relatively responsive throughout the ordeal.
I know others have had a lot of complaints about Coinbase, but I believe this is partially due to the fact that (1) they're dealing with people's money and (2) when it comes to bitcoin money, when it's stolen it's gone forever.
Coinbase is a very established and public company. They operate by the rules because they have to (and I believe because they want to).
Faults of Coinbase:
- They haven't been able to scale their service and support to match there demand
- They don't have a Community Manager on this forum, which would help address and alleviate some of the complaining we've seen
