So... when can someone from the U.S. sign up and take a course? I was about to sign up and saw this :

"Confirm that you are not a United States citizen, resident or green card holder, or have a primary residence or domicile in the United States, including Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or any other territories of the United States and are not purchasing BitDegree tokens or signing on behalf of a United States citizen, resident or entity."

At first I thought "ooh that's for the token sale etc etc U.S. restrictions blah blah right?" Then I read it again and so ooh no it's in addition to the purchase of BitDegree tokens.

Maybe this disclaimer will disappear once they go live? I'm just looking for a way to get in and start learning and also looking for a link to pass on to friends and family that would really benefit from a blockchain backed platform like this.

I hope to hear of some new updates as a world wide platform of learning would be a game changer.

I asked the same question in Telegram. In response to my question regarding not seeing an active repo in their GitHub for the core project, an admin replied and said that they are instead "...trying to reach the roadmap goals we established at the beginning of our project. Right now to reach 100 courses development by Q1 of 2018."

In other words, I don't think they have a working product at all. Does this concern anyone?

Again not trying to FUD. For all I know the technical aspects of a project like this aren't difficult, and perhaps the value is in the partnerships. But perhaps it is concerning.

Thoughts?

Anyone?

The initial price was more? Then why are all in a hurry to buy at the initial price, if then you can buy cheaper on the exchange? Huh

I am a student myself and I do realize that universities (even the best ones of my country) are failing to input any really valuable knowldege in students' minds. Self education is a format of the future. Sure that your project will contribute to this fundamental shift in this sphere

You're right in relation to most projects, but not to the BDG, because the ICO ended early and someone didn't have a chance to buy tokens

In order to get your tokens you must login to your account on the BitDegree website, and fill your profile along with the wallet address to which you wish to receive your BDG tokens. Please set the correct details till February 1st otherwise your earnings will be annulled and the tokens will go directly to the BitDegree scholarship pool. The tokens will be distributed till February 15th.

People buy at the time of ICO because no one knows for sure how successful the project will be and what will be its value after the listing. Those who participate in ICO immediately after the listing usually do not sell their tokens, but retain them and are waiting for the progress of the project and a significant increase in their value. To sell all the tokens immediately after the listing is silly.
