If you think that "scam" and "business" are synonymous, then yes I suppose you could call them scams.  But to a normal person, they're only a scam if they promise specific amounts of satoshi that they don't pay out.

Yes.  There are a few android faucet apps that paid out when I used them (back in January) but having looked at their newer reviews and making a judgement, it looks likely that even those aren't paying out anymore.

It seems unlikely that these apps will continue paying due to the cost of keeping up the services for only a bare minimum amount of profit.  Payouts are inevitably going to become more and more expensive and more and more difficult as time goes on.

Note: any app claiming to be "mining" or any app that asks for money is a scam.

Mining is the only way to generate bitcoins and yes hardware as well as software applications are used in this process. To earn bitcoins we have variety of appications for PC and smartphones (faucets) which pay in BTC for doing tasks like advertisements viewing/clicking but the reward is too low mostly in mBTC.

Are you referring to bitcoin mining because if you do, then this app that you are referring to is like a cloud mining and in my experience and research i have not seen that many app or sites that are legit. Most of them are scam and will just take your hard earned money. My advise is that you just stay away from these apps or sites. There might be some legit ones but it is hard to find since most are really scam the ratio might be 2:10 with scam having the great number. Anyway, even if you do find a legit app or site you still wont be able to generate that much. The hash rate will be a lot smaller compared to what antminers can do.

There is no applications that really produce a free bitcoins nowadays, maybe there is some but they want something in return like advertising an ads or playing a game with your mobile phone and they only pay you a fraction of a bitcoin and that is not worth your time. If you see also mining of cryptocurrencies in your mobile phone then that is not profitable also because mobile phones are not design for mining.

Just take this in mind that there is no easy money wherever you go, if you believe to those websites that says to good to be true words is a sure scam because there is no overnight success in here and in the real world unless you do something illegal that can make other's life miserable.

I would like to see some proof of this actually paying out as this is extremely unlikely at this time, there have been apps previously that show that you are earning but when it actually comes to paying out it just doesn't happen, if the app you are using is legit then it must have a small userbase as it surely couldn't support payouts like that en masse.

Generally you will not find a legit app that can generate bitcoin without having to do something for it, clicking on ads timed faucet.

I really never try in earning with some apps and mining your bitcoin in it, well I don't want to say it is a scam because I have never really tried it once, and I think if you will search Bitcoin Mining in Google Play you can see different Application that I think you can mine bitcoin from it but I have never tried it at all,
