Don't think so, they held a community vote and dev seemed to be open and honest for the entire duration of the coin. Saldo is really special and one of the few cryptonote coins with actual innovation, but it needed a fork like this to regain some traction and find implementation. It was extremely undervalued at 300-500sat per coin w/ only 10M supply, and dev had little reasources to work with only a 0,5 premine. But coin still managed to find many listings and 2 exchanges. Now it should see greater growth
Get your head out of the clouds.. 850k SLD was mined in the first 6 hours of its lifespan. If that isn't a massive premine I don't know what is.
That was just about tolerable with the previous block reward. Now you have a team of people with 33% of the entire coin for a lifetime.

Where did you get 850k? And that's not a premine, that's only early adopters.
Block time 20 seconds.. 3 blocks a minute. Do the math.
It is my understanding the first 1000 blocks had 800k soldo coins. Those 100 starter reward must have had lottery blocks implemented.
What I would like to know is, was there a pre-ann before the coin was launched like they have done with SLA or was it announced and insta mined in those 6 hours.
This is the disadvantage to not being around every single coin launch. It's hard to know what exactly went on.
