Not all cryptocurency base their existence in technological innovation (just remind to meme-coins, not so much tech-stuff but mass-adopted and traded), but simply do what for cryptocurrencies was invented: be a decnetralized financial tool....big difference is that lot of projects are P&D scheme or have disappeared devs, instead Kalkulus have active devs, a roadmap schedule for the whole 2018 and lots of other things that will come in future (included some improvements to the source code).
