BTC is basically flat...and I expect(ed) it to stay that way and trend lower in price because of the fee debacle.

LTC I started watching a couple of days ago when it was at $135...and the next day it went to $300.  Grrr...didn't even have a chance to wire the fiat to the exchange.  I expected a big jump but not that fast...

I'm not surprised that this can happen more than we think, and even later in 2018 bitcoin prices can soar higher than we thought and that's where investors wait a lot.

Definitely, I am surprised

As Bitcoin is growing as expected and I think it will reach its peak.

saw this increase because institutional capital are entering the Bitcoin scene in the form of Bitcoin futures traded on CME

Group. This has sparked some real interest amongst the bigger investors and people who are riding/speculating on this news.

This might go on for a while, until the hype has passed or until people realize that this is real adoption.  {New people

If I'm being honest, I really am not "surprised" as much as I am excited, relieved and feeling determined as ever knowing that we are on path to what has been envisioned since the beginning of bitcoin. I do hope that traders lighten their load on the blockchain, or something could happen within development I suppose, so that Satoshi's original idea of Casual transactions can again take place. We are sort of in a run-away phase right now where people are hyperactive and overly excited. It's best to just hold out hats for now and not count any chickens before they hatch!

I expected bitcoin to explode, then explode again, and again until it's finally got the market-cap, transactions and value that it has the potential to reach. I have no "expected" rate for bitcoin, because it's a volatile creature, all I know is that it comes in spikes and waves. It has the best upward trend I've ever seen, but it's significant movement normally happens within moments and it is certainly powerful. I just stand out of the way and let it do it's thing, i don't want to put any chains on bitcoin by expecting it to do anything; I'm just happy we let it out of it's cage to see what it is capable of.

BTC is growing beyond my expectation,its quite a surprise,doubt the former speculation of $7000,now beyond.

I like being dreaming and hard to imagine but it is real.
If I hold BTC I may already be a millionaire. unfortunately I've sold some of my coins.
this becomes the motivation to hold bitcoin for the next few years.

All crypto world is growing at a faster  and faster rate every month that passes, surpassing all expectations.. I think 2018 will be the year of consacration of BITCOIN, Ethereum and other crypto.... they will finally become mainstream!

To he honest crypto has already spread much faster then I thought it would. Already there seminars her for people to learn about bitcoin and gain financial freedom that is mostly because things are going badly and the job market sucks so there is little money and people need to find ways to make a living and that is where Bitcoin comes in. We can already buy food at one supermarket here with bitcoin so it's really surprised me by how it's caught on.
