    Let us set a day every year where we celebrate our independence from the central bankers and remember why we want to use bitcoin.

    This could be like christmas where everyone spends a bitcoin online at their favourite bitcoin shop and we have bitcoin meetups all around the world.

    I dont mind wearing alpaca socks one day of the year.

    before we do this, the community has to be bigger and we have to organize a extreme Party with much rich people which goes into the whole media

    The obvious day to choose is January 3, the date (in 2009) when the Bitcoin block chain was established and the genesis block was created.

    If you want more than one celebration, other possibilities are May 22 (Bitcoin Pizza day) and US dollar parity day (February 9).

    Alternatively, maybe someone can find a way to add a Bitcoin angle to an existing "alternative" celebration such as Talk Like A Pirate Day (September 19) or Festivus (December 23).

    We could have the worlds largest party on every continent at once showing bitcoins international reach.
