so far its been playing nice, it hasn't crashed on either machine. Both are gentoo 64bit boxes but the I5 has been cleaning up with 8 blocks and 2 on the other.

Just mined my first block, but the Overview numbers don't seem right. I have -

Confirmed 24.00 MEG
Unconfirmed 0.00 MEG
Immature 48.00 MEG
Total 72.00 MEG

But only two transactions are listed - 24 MEG from FreeTrade, and 24 MEG mined at 14:05. Should there be another mined block listed somewhere?

I upload a fix - get the latest version from the main page and your private keys should import okay now.

Also, FYI a grant to MVTE7E4oorSQLkSakAUxR1bgp2ibiE5dYd will probably never be awarded . . it's for 70000 . . so you'd need to win over 2900(x24) grant blocks before it would be awarded. Try for a MVTEoEo or a small fixed grant award.

Update:

Okay, I've tidied up a lot of the issues with the Github repository.

I'm new to Github so I made some mistakes with it. The source for Memorycoin was in a tree, rather than the main repository, so this was confusing. Some people were downloading the main repository, and finding it was was just Bitcoin 0.8.3. That was confusing and people were understandably nervous that it was trying to mess with their Bitcoin wallet. Anyway, that should be fixed now.

Another issue is that the Scrypt files weren't present. I was using Github for Windows which appears to have a fairly major issue in that it just doesn't upload new files that are added. I've switched to SmartGit, which is working better. All the files should be present now.

It was a bumpy start, but I'm pretty happy with where the coin is at now. The code has held up, both the Memory Hashing and the Grant Voting code, so I've removed the 'test release' message and uploaded a new binary.

Next I'll be working on a thread-safe CPU miner so we can safely max out our CPUs without stability issues.
