Where do you remember devs promising this? Could you provide a link to a quote please to prove it's not an empty statement?

The problem with Onion currently and it still being in airdrop mode... is that the Dev team still holds a giant amount of onion, even though there are only 3 airdrops left. Once the coins are all freely distributed and not in a single team/persons hands the remaining coins, many exchanges will then open up to adding us.
For example, Bitterex would not even touch Onion with airdrop still being active. The fact that one/a couple people had the majority of the coins leaves it too vulnerable for anything.
Once the airdrop is complete and its a freely distributed and traded coins bigger exchanges like Bitterex, Bianance and etc will have be more likely to accept us, being as there isnt a
chance that the Dev would run in and sell all the coins.
Even though DeepOnion is reputable bigger exchanges don't want to take the chance with coins like that. If they're in everybody's hands equally and fairly distributed they will be more willing to add us.

I expect Bittrex to list ONIONS very soon after the airdrops, Binance will take longer in my opinion though, but I might be wrong...
